Princess Lolly, Lord Licorice, Chocolate slides, and gumdrop trees. Deliciously enticing, the game of Candy Land is easy to get lost in and hard to escape.

Sounds a lot like business, right?

But instead of delicious chocolate slides and gumdrop trees, there are email marketing products and flashing website templates begging you to click “buy.”

The problem is, just like you will get a stomach ache from overeating candy, you’re going to run into trouble if you buy every new product and tool for your business.

After all, you are just one business, with one budget — there’s no way you can do OR afford it all.

As a business leader, you have to set limits and know when to say “no.” You need to know how to avoid pitfalls of business.

If you don’t know where you should start when it comes to setting limits for your business, here are a few (excellent) ideas.

If you want to get your business unstuck and out of Candy Land, start running your business by these questions.

Once you do, you will stop getting sick on the candy (technology) and start enjoying it instead.
