Teens Create Distance Learning Project to Mentor Elementary Students

After COVID-19 hit, Skye Loventhal and Sarah Shapiro realized elementary students needed mentors — teen mentors. They started a crisis relief project called Covid NineTEEN Project to deliver teen-led distance learning, activities, and tutoring to elementary students.

Covid NineTEEN Project currently has over 150 teen mentors, and one-on-one tutoring in 14 different languages, offered daily.
